Your role will be to collect, develop, create and edit engaging content for the website, newsletter and other online communication of COMBACTE. This content, ranging from social media posts to articles and infographics, will define and maintain the look and character of the website. You will be proposing ideas for newsworthy content, gathering input and ensuring that content passes internal approvals. You will also be required to develop and maintain a robust editorial calendar, schedule resources for content creation and take responsibility for content management (CMS, Wordpress, DNN, Drupal and social media).
The successful candidate will be a native English speaker with good Dutch language skills or a native Dutch speaker with excellent English writing skills, as well as a background in life sciences or healthcare and academic communications/marketing/journalism. You have at least three years’ experience in producing web and social media content in an international pharmaceutical and/or medical environment. In addition to the ability to write, edit and proofread scientific and non-scientific content, you must have an understanding of the key issues and challenges involved and be capable of translating complex topics into well-written, engaging content. You must have sound editorial judgment and the ability to quickly build a network of contacts within the COMBACTE consortia. Familiarity with Flash, HTML, Photoshop, SEO and Google Analytics is essential, and experience in AMR and clinical studies would be advantageous. Knowledge of digital content and content marketing would also be beneficial.
COMBACTE (Combating Bacterial Resistance In Europe) is a European project that comprises three different consortia. These consortia (COMBACTE-NET, COMBACTE-CARE and COMBACTE-MAGNET) were created to meet the challenges posed by the growing worldwide problem of antibiotic resistance. In collaboration with other consortia, projects in this field will enable the more rapid and efficient clinical development and commercialization of much-needed new antibacterials. COMBACTE is built around two international hospital and laboratory networks, comprising more than 750 hospitals, 450 laboratories and 1,000 researchers in 42 European countries. The COMBACTE projects are part of the IMI New Drugs 4 Bad Bugs (ND4BB) program and are funded by the European Union and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and associations (EFPIA).
