COMBACTE (Combating Bacterial Resistance In Europe) is looking for a copywriter who can produce content ranging from social media posts to articles and interviews. This content is created for a scientific target audience and relates to AMR and clinical studies that are conducted in our consortium. As the successful candidate for this position, you’ll be proposing and presenting ideas for that content to the other communication professionals in your team and internal stakeholders for approval before publishing. You’ll also be developing and maintaining an editorial calendar, scheduling resources for content creation and taking responsibility for content management in our CMS and on our social media channels. The associated responsibilities include collecting, creating, editing and arranging text, images (blogs, articles, interviews, info graphics) for the COMBACTE website, newsletter and other online communication. Part of your job will be to help define and maintain the character and look of the website.
As you’ll be producing content in English, we’re looking for either a native English speaker with good Dutch language skills, or a native Dutch speaker with excellent English writing skills. As the successful candidate, you possess outstanding skills in writing, editing and proofreading scientific and other content, have an understanding of the challenges involved in and are capable of translating complex information into well-written, engaging content. You have no problem thinking from the perspective of the user and audience of the content. In addition, you’re capable of rapidly building up a network of contacts within the COMBACTE consortium. Essential skills include familiarity with WordPress, SEO, Google Analytics and content marketing.
COMBACTE stands for Combating Bacterial Resistance In Europe. We are a European project comprising three consortia that meet the challenges posed by the worldwide problem of antibiotic resistance. We collaborate with other consortia to run projects in this field that will enable the more rapid and efficient clinical development and commercialization of much-needed new antibacterials.
COMBACTE is built around two international hospital and laboratory networks, comprising more than 750 hospitals, 450 laboratories and 1,000 researchers in 42 European countries. The COMBACTE projects are part of the IMI New Drugs 4 Bad Bugs (ND4BB) program and are funded by the European Union and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and associations (EFPIA).
For this 100% post, the maximum salary will be € 3.508,00. This will be a temporary appointment for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
